30 Second Speech By Bryan Dyson (ceo Of Coca Cola)

"Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. You name them - Work, Family, Health, Friends and Spirit and you're keeping all of these in the Air.

You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back.

But the other four Balls - Family, Health, Friends and Spirit - are made of glass. If you drop one of these; they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for it."

Five reasons to be happy

"I cried because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet"

What is the cause of the unhappiness in the world?
We focus on what we do not have rather then what we have. we consider moon as most beautiful object "चाँद सा चेहरा / चाँद सा महबूब" But do you know earth looks far more beautiful from sky then moon. Moon is just a barren land with harsh environment for life. We are on earth but we long for moon which we do not have.

Happiness is the feeling of feeling lucky. feeling lucky is about feeling gratitude. That is why human has invented gods to forcefully install the feeling of gratitude since childhood. Once one start believing in god all the vagaries and vicissitude of the life fall in logic.
Faith is something like having a big locked box and believe box is full of gold and diamonds. You consider yourself wealthy and lead a happy life with the locked box and die happy with locked box.

Some people has broke open the box and found nothing there. Now they are going restless and puzzled over the vagaries and vicissitude of the life. Some are seeking happiness in materialistic life. But reason to feel lucky and gratitude towards something has lost. Now people has created drugs, fashion and many more things to make feel of self importance or different then others. All this alter our chemical balance in  body/mind/psychology to make feel us different. But all this not working out 100%.

I tried to find the reasons to be happy :)
Top 5 universal reasons to be happy for all.
  1. You are lucky that you are breathing, your heart is pumping. there are billions and billions of stars but so far earth is only known planet to sustain life. With millions years of evolution we have come with such highly sophisticated body and mind. thousands of our generation have struggled to survive. non of your ancestor died young. It is like flip billion coins and if all heads you will exist.
  2. Because we are mortal. You will never be lovelier than you are now. Any moment can be last moment. We will never be here again. You have nothing to lose on earth.
  3. You are lucky to never faced war, starvation, slavery, natural calamity. You did not born in third world
  4. You are lucky to read this. There are millions people who are just living to live. their struggle is just survival "जिन्दा रहने के चक्कर में जान निकल जाती है". Billion people on earth go hungry each day.You can not point me a single reason why they do not deserve stomach full of food and education like you. You may not have control over your destiny but you have control over the direction of your effort.
  5. You have family with you. Feel gratitude towards your father, mother, siblings, friends to give you company and support when you were unable to walk/talk/eat. If your are happy your mother will be happy, then why not be happy? I am lucky to have my mother in walk of life.
I am also grateful to Rana and Kesar to give me inputs on this. Some of the ideas are inspired with these folks :)

The mayonnaise jar and the coffee

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar...and the coffee...

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.
So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "yes. "The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed. "Now," said the professor,
as the laughter subsided, " I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things-your God, family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions-things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car. The sand is everything else-the small stuff. "If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal."

Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee presented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."
